What is the Genre? How many categories does it fit?
Name some game example Games that are in the same category and genre type. Why are they in the same Genre? Talk about the codes and Conventions that they should/Do share What similarities do they have?
Devil May Cry is an action adventure hack and slasher based off of demons, humans and angels. The first game itself actually used to be considered an action adventure thriller because it had a sense of scares in the game. It also had very disturbing monsters and horror like settings within the game, so you could say its a action adventure horror thriller hybrid. A similar game called Onimusha 3, fits the same genre criteria and has very similar game mechanics, such as diverse weapons(swords)

How does the Narrative allow the game to connect to the player? Why does it do this? why does it do it in that way? is it different for other games in the same Genre? If yes why? If no Why? Give examples of games that are, and that are not. is the method they use good? if yes why? If not why? what methods in YOUR opinion would work/help engage the Player in a game of that Genre.
Representation of Characters
How is Gender constructed? How is Gender represented? Do you like the way Gender is constructed? Why? What type of characters does this Genre typically have? Give examples What type of characters is NOT seen in games of this Genre typically? Explain why in YOUR opinion they are absent, and explain why in YOU opinion why they DO have those characters. What characters are negative? What characters are Positive? Give examples of each, 2 each. Do you like this Genre? Why? Do you like the Characters in them? Why?
